Merry Christmas and Happy Family from this view over the “Striezelmarkt”, Germany’s oldest known Christmas market in Dresden. My family isn’t religious but we have always sort of celebrated Christmas in our own way. I think it first started because my mother wanted my sister and I to fit in more with the culture, and avoid awkward situations like classmates asking what we got for Christmas.
Now, Christmas, to us, is where family comes together and where we exchange presents and truly appreciate each other and what the year has brought to our lives. It’s appreciation holiday for us. We go on trips and sleep in and sing and eat a shit ton of Vietnamese buffet food.
I hope you lovely lot have a happy holiday, and if you’re celebrating, a merry Christmas. I wish you love throughout it all and that no trouble with alter that smile this holiday.
