what has made me feel a lot better during anxious times: tracking my mood. in a nutshell, i do it to understand myself better and achieve better mental health. it’s a quick way to care for myself when i don’t have the time to journal or don’t feel in the mood to get all my feelings out.
reasons to track your mood!
by using a mood diary you can monitor patterns in your everyday-life and identify negative influences or triggers that you can avoid
as well as warning signs that your health is deteriorating! (often we don’t realise)
it’ll help find the small and big things that make you feel good and stay well
those you can actively approach to adopt on your well-being
you can still feel freely and - without judgment - figure out what’s making you upset
will help develop a plan for remaining well, which is the key of the whole procedure: a mood diary should be a guide for a plan for wellness, not just a record of illness!
it can provide your therapist or doctor with a precise history and you won’t have the problem of memory recall
it’s really quick with apps that remind you to log your mood
i use /moodpath/. (not spon)
get well soon,
